Review by wary customer : Not a well-executed product...

The bed arrived on time, which was great, but several of the pieces were bent and slightly fractured which I am worried about in the long-term (but was desperate so did not send back). The directions were not easy to follow, and I am usually great at assembling these types of things. There were pieces mislabeled and I had a couple complete sets of hardware left over... Overall I am very wary of this product. It is holding up (I have had it for about a week), but I would think twice before ordering anything from this company again.

I love this bed, but it was really hard to get the drawers installed. Also, they don't seem to be removable which has actually been inconvenient.The real reason I wanted to write this review (and I wish I had known before purchasing) is that the "knobs" on the drawers are perhaps the worst design in the history of bad design. They stick out from the bed and have sharp edges, very very sharp edges. My shins are covered in bruises and cuts from bumping into the handles. I actually have a scar on my leg. I can't understand who thought it would be a good idea to put a sharp metal object that sticks out a good two inches from the side of the bed. I had to remove them and buy smaller, round knobs that don't have sharp edges and since installing them I haven't bruised myself once. You can see the "knobs" in the pictures for the dresser and nightstand more clearly, because the ones shown in the photo are not the ones on the actual bed.Despite the drawers, I love this bed and am very happy with it. It's very sturdy and seems well-constructed despite not being made from solid wood. There's 2 drawers on each side of the bed so it can't be against a wall.

Good bed.... Will take around 3-4 hours to assemble. It's better not to put handles, cause you'll get hurt for sure! Better way is to just replace them or use a bed skirt.One more pro is you get good storage place if you use the space in between the drawers.Overall a good buy!

I had Been looking for a platform bed for a very very long time, i had found a different one that was black which is what color i wanted, but the reviews were so so, lots of complaints about assembly and the parts not being marked,the instruction manual not helpful and so on. this concerned me, as i am a 25yr old female which doesn't have anyone to depend on for help. also this this bed seemed much more study which it is, i was able to but this together alone in about 3-4hours. was not hard at all, but then again i have experience in building all my own furniture. i like the color its a dark brown, i think what bothers me is the "wood" looking stuff i don't know what its called well if you not very careful during assembly it can peel off very easily at the corner and edges, nothing that cant be fix w/ a dab of glue if it bothers you that much, i guess that's why a touch up marker was included. also i wished the side rails for the drawers were metal instead of plastic. i don't know if that will cause problems in the future, I'm sure if it was metal the slide Resistance would be a lot easier an smooth but again just a minor thing that i can over look. the handles to the bed are metal and very sharp and i caught my foot on it and it sure hurt so you gotta watch that, or easily replace them, i kept them on for now. other than that I'm very pleased with the bed its everything i wanted,seems strong enough to handle my new memory foam mattress and me and one other person.for the price its a well worth spent buck, if you expecting perfection and high quality this isn't for you. good for a average making,person looking for a strong bed for a reasonable price.oh and shipping was perfect. This bed is great! The assembly didn't take as long as expected and the finished product looks fantastic. There are drawers on both sides which is convenient; however, the drawer handles are very sharp around the edges so this could be potentially dangerous if it's meant to be in a child's room. I have cut myself on numerous occasions while walking past the bed. Other than that, it really is a great bed especially for the value. It also goes very well with other South Shore products.

We love this bed! It takes a while to put together, but totally worth it! You can't tell in the picture, but there are 4 drawers total, two on each side of the bed. The pictures on the instructions need to be looked at closely since the instructions don't say exactly what or where to places the parts, screws etc. The bed seems pretty sturdy so we think it will last for quite a while.

We ordered this bed for my daughter. It arrived securely wrapped in plastic with all the corners extra padded to prevent dings. I was still surprised that it was shipped with free shipping.The bed looks nice assembled. Assembly was not a difficult as I was anticipating based upon other reviews, but we have assembled many pieces before. Much was intuitive which was great since the directions are big on pictures and short on words. My teenager and I assembled the bed in a bit over two hours. It was definitely easier once we spread all the parts out on the floor - each piece was clearly labeled with a stamped number/letter.There are a few extra parts in the box which would be helpful if something got lost during the process.I do wish the drawer slides were metal. Time will tell how well the plastic slides hold up.The handles on the drawers are definitely sharp and could cause an injury if you are not careful. I am glad this is for a teen. If it was for a younger child, I would be a bit concerned since they are not always aware of their surroundings.Overall, we are pleased with the bed and how it looks. I am hopeful that it will hold up well and give us a few years of use..

This is well-designed and looks good. Not posh but OK. Handles stick out and although they look good I've caught my leg on it several times. If you have something hanging over the drawers be careful of that. It looks good if the bed is made like in the photo w/ the drawers showing, and it helps avoid the handles. There are four drawers, two on each side, so it needs to be away from the wall on both sides to utilize all the drawer space..

Bed arrived quickly and without damage thanks to the extra padding on the corners of the box. Removed all pieces and laid out and sorted. Took about 4 hours to assemble alone but I took my time and thought it through as the instructions are mostly SMALL pictures. Wasn't difficult at all. VERY impressed with the sturdiness once assembled. This is the BEST buy for the money on a Full sized bed. Thanks Amazon!!
